Trinity Presbyterian Church is committed to supporting and educating our children and youth (K-12th grades) and young adults (college ages and beyond) as they grow in their faith and in their relationships with others.

  • We provided a safe, non-judgmental place where children and youth can learn, share their faith, ask questions, and  have fun with other children of God.

  • We provide time, space and guidance for our children and youth to grow spiritually.

  • We emphasizes the theology and mission of the PC(USA) as well as the mission here at Trinity: being an active partner with our community, both locally and globally.

  • We provide a Trinity Troopers program for our K-5th grade children on Wednesday evenings.

  • We provide Middle School and High School Youth Group programs on Wednesday and Sunday evenings respectively.

  • We provide a confirmation class for eighth graders that will equip them with skills and information that will help them become active members of the church and to begin a new phase in their young adult faith journey.

  • We support our rising 12th graders serving as youth elder.

  • We offer opportunities throughout the life of the church for children, middle school and high school youth to lead, share, and celebrate their gifts as disciples of Christ and children of God.

Trinity Presbyterian's Vision Statement for Children and Youth Ministry

We are currently in the process of putting together a Vision Statement for Children and Youth Ministry.  Until then please look to the Vision Statement for Presbyterian Youth Ministry which was approved by the General Assembly 1991.  Then in 1993 the 205th General Assembly approved the creation of a new national youth ministry organization, named the Presbyterian Youth Connection.

VISION STATEMENT FOR PRESBYTERIAN YOUTH MINISTRY
As those involved in youth ministry, young people and adults, this is our vision.
WE ARE CHILDREN OF GOD
We are female and male, of all ages and conditions.
We come from many social, economic, and racial/ethnic backgrounds. As God’s children we are called into a loving relationship with our Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer.
We experience God’s love as the Holy Spirit leads us in the living of life.

WE ARE PRESBYTERIANS
We are part of the Reformed family of faith.
We experience God’s love and grace through prayer, worship, service, the study of scripture and history, the participation in the church as the body of Christ, our partnership with people of other faiths, and our ministry of seeking justice for all people.
We are a vital part of the church and its mission.  Through youth ministry, we are nurtured as the church responds to our needs and interests and as we give and share ourselves in the church’s mission and ministry.

WE HAVE A VISION OF YOUTH MINISTRY IN THE CHURCH…
To call young people to be disciples of Jesus Christ.
To respond to the needs and the interests of young people.
To work together, youth and adults, in partnership.
To be connected to the whole church, community, and the world.
To include all young people, reaching out, and inviting them to belong to the community of faith.

THE PRESBYTERIAN YOUTH CONNECTION MISSION STATEMENT
As youth and adults, we respond to Gods call through the Holy Spirit. To be connected to each other, and the world, so that our lives proclaim with joy that Jesus Christ is Lord!
