It is
the commitment of the pastoral staff at Trinity Presbyterian
Church to maintain a vigorous visitation schedule in the life of
our congregation.
Our
commitment to this ministry is evident in the fact that Trinity
has a Minister of Visitation on staff, whose primary
responsibility it is to visit those who are in nursing and
assisted living centers, as well as those who are homebound on a
long-term or short-term basis.
In addition, the Minister of Visitation assists the
Senior Pastor in regular hospital visitation.
The
Senior Pastor also maintains a busy visitation schedule by
visiting hospitals on a regular basis, visiting the homes of
members in need or crisis, as well as visiting with prospective
members and sharing information about our local congregation and
the Presbyterian Church (USA) denomination.
In addition to this, the Senior Pastor operates with an
“open door” policy, which basically means that if you come
to the church and find his door open, you are free to drop in
and say hello, or ask for time to talk about an issue that is
important to you. You
may also call the church office in order to make an appointment
to see one of our pastors, in order to insure that they are
indeed here when you come to the church.
Because
Trinity Presbyterian Church now consists of approximately 600 members, it is
becoming increasingly more important that members contact the
church office, or their Deacon, if they are aware of situations
in which they will need to be hospitalized, reside in a nursing
or assisted living center, or remain homebound.
Especially in regard to hospitalizations, there are many
hospitals in our surrounding area, and if you are in a hospital
other than our local Flagler Hospital, it is possible that you
might be missed unless the church office is informed.
So, if you know you will be hospitalized, please let us
know ahead of time, and in the case of emergency
hospitalizations, we urge family members and friends to let us
know as soon as possible. |
