Fellowship at Trinity Presbyterian Church happens in the
totality of its congregational life through our worship,
service, study and prayer.
There are, however, specific programs in the life of
Trinity that are geared towards fellowship: |
-
S.A.M.
(Senior Adult Ministries):
This is a group of lively retirement age members of
Trinity who gather for luncheons and “road trips” to
shows, museums, and other attractions that make for
interesting and entertaining day trips throughout the year.
The S.A.M. group has a Board that meets regularly in
order to plan and schedule events, which are then publicized
through The Trinity Times, our church newsletter, and
the Sunday morning bulletin.
The present chairperson of the S.A.M. Board is Elder
Paul Eckstein, and can be contacted by calling the church
office.
-
MINGLES:
A fellowship group of middle agers at Trinity
Presbyterian Church, who gather on a periodic basis for the
sole purpose of having fun. The biggest event of the Mingles schedule is the
annual Superbowl Party.
Events are announced, and the contact person for the
Mingles events is Elder Shelley Kleinfelder.
-
PRESBYTERIAN
WOMEN: This
is one of the most formal and organized fellowship groups in
the church, and its purpose includes fellowship, but goes far
beyond it through Christian service, Bible Study and Prayer.
The Presbyterian Women’s Group consists of a
Coordinating Council that plans annual events and Circles that
meet on a quarterly basis.
In addition, there is a quarterly luncheon held for the
entire Presbyterian Women’s organization in Mehaffey Hall
(our fellowship hall), which include guest speakers,
recognition of its members and the conducting of PW business.
All women in the church are invited to be part of this
important and meaningful organization.
Information about joining is available from the church
office.
-
HOLIDAY
FAIR CRAFTS GROUP: Each year in the month of November, Trinity
Presbyterian Church hosts its two day “Holiday Fair”,
which involves the sale of handmade crafts, baked goods, a
bookstore, and other items that are decided upon on a year by
year basis. The
crafts group meets regularly on Monday mornings throughout the
year to come up with items to sell ranging from annual
favorites to entirely new creations.
Those who join together experience great fellowship as
they teach and learn new crafts. The proceeds from the sale of these items, as well as
all the other activities of the Holiday Fair, go towards
important church and mission needs in Palm Coast and beyond.
-
CANCER
SUPPORT GROUP: This
group meets on Monday afternoons and is designed for both
cancer survivors and those who are presently dealing with
cancer and cancer treatment.
This gathering goes beyond fellowship and offers needed
support in times of need.
In addition to sharing experiences, and supporting one
another in those experiences, the group also offers an
educational component, which is especially helpful to those
facing cancer for the first time.
For more information about meetings, contact the church
office.
